How To Get Into a Mindset Ready For Change

How to Get into a Mindset Ready for Change

Changes, no matter how minor, can be an extremely difficult part of life. But if you know that changes are coming (and they always are), there are ways in which you can adjust your mindset. You will need to prepare yourself for these changes.  So, in today’s article How to Get into a Mindset Ready for Change, we are going to discuss a few methods on how you can get ready for the changes to come.

First, Let The Past Go

If you are holding on to something, or someone in your past, it will be impossible to meet the future with open arms. And since you never know when it may be time to change, make it a practice to let go of things that regularly negatively impact your life. That way, you will be able to adequately embrace change when it does arrive.

Stay Curious Mentality

Never be afraid to ask questions. And keep your mind open when you get answers. By questioning the things around you, you engage your critical thinking skills, which may be required when you make a change. Staying curious is best done by asking “what-if” questions about any situation you may encounter.

Have Backup Plans

A lot of people think having a backup plan is not having confidence in yourself. And this isn’t entirely true. Although you should never plan to use your backup plans, you should still have them. Creating scenarios when things may go wrong engages the same critical thinking skills listed above. And having these critical thinking skills can help you better anticipate problems or issues. This makes changes much easier to embrace.

Look For Inspiration

If you are going through every day on autopilot when change happens, it will likely shock you. You won’t know how to respond. On the flip side, if you are constantly looking for ways in which your life will change, you can expect one of two things. When it does change, you will be more prepared to handle whatever is coming your way. And two, even if it changes in a way you didn’t expect. One of the best ways to look for inspiration is just by looking within yourself during a period of meditation or visualization.

If you want to be ready and prepared to meet whatever change comes your way, you must get into the proper mindset now. You can get yourself in this mindset by leaving the past behind, remaining curious, looking for inspiration, and by having backup plans. All of these combined will help clear your mind and prepare your critical thinking skills to conquer the unknown.

So Quit Doing Everything Already!

So Quit Doing Everything Already!

So Quit Doing Everything Already!

In the beginning, you start your own business. And you absolutely love it! It doesn’t feel like work when it’s your passion, right!?  I know just what you’re thinking…because I thought the same thing. Going into business for myself was completely what I wanted to do. And I had no thoughts of the big QUIT word!

And then…your passion-based business takes over your entire life and now your business controls you. Isn’t that the truth? I mean, business is supposed to create some freedom in your life. No more boss, the corporate world is gone…life is a JOY once again. So…what the heck happened? I’ll tell you, right here in this post.

The #1 Secret to building and growing your business that aligns with your lifestyle…

Quit doing everything!

That’s right! Did your heart skip a beat just now when I said that? Yeah, I thought so…and I totally understand.

Are you worried that if you stop doing all the to-do’s…your business will shrivel up and die? Ha…I’m rolling on the floor laughing right now. NO, it’s not.

Does the idea of only doing some specific work make you feel like you’re missing out? What the heck are you missing out on? Work you DON’T want to be doing because you’d rather GO TO THE BEACH?

If you are an early entrepreneur, wouldn’t you like to build your business and lifestyle together from the get-go? AND… still, make a ton of money? I know if I were starting out in my business I would. I may not know it all, but having your own business and creating a great lifestyle is critical in your decision-making.

What if I told you that I could identify the tasks that are the best ones to do first…and the right ones to be done by only you.

When you are working through the process of where you are now and where you want to be, here are some questions to start asking yourself. You’re going to love this! I promise…

  • What are your values? – You can determine your values by your former actions when confronted with a problem or decision that you had to overcome or make. These are the times that your real values emerge, not just the ones you say you believe in. Look back on your own choices and determine your real values. If you have made mistakes and gone against your core values, identify those times and determine how you can make a different choice.
  • What are your skills? Even if you’re not currently an entrepreneur, you already have skills that you can put to use as an entrepreneur. Focus on the deliverables and tasks that you provide your employer without too much help from others. These are the skills that you have that should be the basis of your entrepreneurial venture.
  • What are your strengths? – You’ve heard the idea that you need to leverage your strengths but how do you even know what they are? Using a self-assessment, you can find out what your strengths are. When you know them, try to be honest so that your results come out realistic. Take off your rose-colored glasses so that you can determine your real strengths.
  • What are your weaknesses? – While you can improve upon your weaknesses, you should first leverage your strengths, but it’s important to know your weaknesses and accept them. If you know for example that you’re always five minutes late, accept it, instead focus on something positive. That doesn’t mean you don’t work on this habit, but don’t focus on it instead of your strengths.

Only when you know who you really are, the good and the bad, will you be able to truly know yourself. And this will help you to create the business and lifestyle you desire. ARE YOU READY?

I know you aren’t going to quit!

Now you know how important it is to Identify your “Uniqueness” so that you can focus on the right tasks and quit doing all the tasks. Because this will only lead to exhaustion and probably failure. That is one of the reasons you really need to hire someone to help you.

What’s Holding You Back From Moving Forward?

What’s Holding You Back From Moving Forward?

What’s Holding You Back From Moving Forward?

Have you ever just felt stuck in your life? As if you are going around and around in a circle and you can’t seem to break out? Well, this could be because something in your life is creating that problem. Today’s article discusses just “What’s Holding You Back From Moving Forward?” in more detail so you can crush it and focus on yourself and your business.

You’re Playing It Too Safe

If you are constantly worried about the future, and this worry keeps you from taking risks, this is probably the number one reason you aren’t moving forward. To move forward, you have to live a little and do something which makes you a little uncomfortable—it’ll pay off in the end.

The next time you are faced with something that takes you out of your comfort zone, give it a try—you may find a little risk is a positive addition to your life.

You’re Stuck In The Past

To move forward, you have to learn to let go. The past is the past for a reason. Remember it fondly, but make sure you aren’t focused on it. Don’t devote any time to it, as this will keep you from being able to propel yourself forward into the future. And that’s what you want, right? Living in the past will suck up your whole day and make you feel miserable. I know from experience that you don’t need that in your life today!

You Doubt Your Abilities

If you want to make changes to better your life or move forward, you can’t do so if you constantly doubt yourself. Have a little confidence in yourself. Just deciding to move forward is a big step, and only the most successful people do so. If confidence is something you struggle with, consider trying some tactics to increase your confidence. And please do this before making a large change in your life.

You Are Hanging With The Wrong Crowd

Are all your friends stuck in dead-end jobs? I bet they complain about how miserable they are, don’t they? According to Jim Rohn, you are the combination of the five people you are closest to in life. And if these people aren’t going anywhere, you likely won’t either.

Be especially careful if you find yourself spending time with people who seem to talk down about your future. Don’t let their negative outlook become yours, as this could end up holding you back big time. No one said moving forward was easy, but it may feel impossible if you are being held back. Instead, choose to make changes to your life to stop your convictions, past, and your friends from holding you back. After all, moving forward is part of being successful and having a happy life.

Tips On Embracing New Beginnings

A new beginning can be challenging and stressful, especially if you start over in a new location or a new profession. Although there isn’t any way to make these changes easier, below are some tips to help you conquer and embrace your new beginning.

First Principles – Break It Down

Just like breaking a large goal down into smaller ones can help it feel more accomplishable, so too can breaking down a big change make it more manageable. If you are moving, see if you can break your move into three days. Or maybe you spend the day before setting up the utilities at the new place, and that way, when you are tired from moving your stuff the next day, everything is already ready to go.

Find A Support System – Your Foundation

Whether it’s a new job or a new city, make sure you have a support system. Even if they aren’t nearby, just having someone you can call with weekly updates can do wonders for managing your stress level.

You can also build a new support system wherever you are going. If you are new to a job, they will often have a designated new hire person you can go to with questions. Maybe see if you can exchange numbers and grab a coffee. You never know who could end up being a great new friend!

Have A Role Model

It can be important to have a role model for especially drastic changes, maybe someone who has made a similar move and thrived from it. This doesn’t have to be someone famous; it could even just be a family member. But whenever you are stressed about your big change, remember how your model handled it. You definitely don’t want your new beginning to be stressful.

Enjoy Yourself – Follow Your Heart

Most of all, don’t forget to have fun! This is a new beginning, and no matter what has changed in your life, there are likely to be a few growing pains. So, embrace all the new fun things, and learn to laugh at yourself when you make mistakes. It’s all part of the process! And if you tell yourself you will enjoy your change, chances are you will.

New beginnings can be a drastic change for anyone, but there are several things you can do to embrace and make the most of them. Just remember to break the change down, reference your support system or role model, and have fun! Before you know it, the new beginning will be your amazing new normal.

Why We Shouldn’t Fear New Beginnings

Why We Shouldn’t Fear New Beginnings

Why We Shouldn’t Fear New Beginnings

Starting over can be tough. And even if it’s not challenging, rarely is it ever easy. If you’ve recently had to start over, you’re probably feeling a host of emotions such as uncertainty, stress, and fear. Although you may be scared, you shouldn’t fear new beginnings because they do signify some amazing things coming into your life. This article today focuses on why we shouldn’t fear new beginnings.

Taking Power Over Your Life

Starting on a new beginning in your life is the ultimate sign of power. Something in your life happened, and you decided you didn’t like it, so you made a change. Not only that, but you likely made a change in the direction that you wanted your life to go.

Why we shouldn't fear new beginnings

When you embark on this new beginning, you are taking away the power from the source of whatever caused you the trauma and returning it to its rightful owner, yourself. And this is what makes new beginnings so incredibly powerful.

New Beginnings Are Needed To Grow

As sad as endings are, there is always a reason something came to an end. No matter what that reason may be, the reason something ended is so that you can have a new beginning. Without new beginnings, you may never be given a chance to build yourself up to your full potential. Think of it this way; if you were a goldfish, you would probably love the fishbowl you live in.

It’s cute and cozy, and you’ve been there your whole life. Now suddenly, you’re in a three-gallon tank. This is probably scary, but you need this larger tank to grow! In this case, the goldfish will die if left in the small bowl—therefore, even if the giant tank may be terrifying, the goldfish must move to survive.

You Know More Than You Did Before

If your trauma was a result of a mistake you previously made, don’t fret. As you embark on your new beginning, you can do so with confidence because you now know more than you did before. Mistakes are normal, and starting anew is a sign you’ve learned from your previous mistakes, and you are committed to not making them again.

Overall, whatever your new beginning may be, you’re likely feeling a bit nervous as you think about it. But don’t worry, new beginnings, while scary, are necessary.  They teach you lessons and let you take back power over your life. You may not feel great at first, but someday you will look back and be thankful you started over.
